Business Development Manager (Electrical & Instrumentation)

Responsibilities: The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and executing on revenue generating
business opportunities that support the organizations overall strategic direction while meeting and/or exceeding
revenue targets for the region through selling the Company's product and service lines to new and existing clients. This
includes developing strategies to sell the Company's products and services into new industries and markets in ASEAN etc.


Key responsibilities include:
• Through market analysis, identify new revenue generating opportunities, developing plans accordingly
• Identify new sales opportunities for revenue growth through sales to existing clients


Sales & Business Development
• Oversee the identification and management of new business opportunities with current and/or potential clients in region
• Oversee the development and execution of regional sales initiatives while collaborating with operations managers when required
• Oversee the reporting of all regional sales data including but not limited to monthly reports and balanced scorecards.
• Oversee the analysis of all regional sales data for future business opportunities
• Oversee the development of regional sales plans with the objective of dovetailing with corporate sales plan


Marketing & Research
• Work with marketing/development department on the execution of all marketing related material including sales material and promotions
• Liaise with the other business unit in the development and marketing of new products and services ensuring
new products and services are brought to market in a timely manner
• Conduct market research and analysis on new ventures, partnerships, acquisitions and/or product lines, prepares ROI and presents to the VP
• Conduct market intelligence, researching, reviewing and maintaining statistical data and any other information
related to market data and/or trends in our industry, identify opportunities or potential threats early on,
developing actual written and verbal inquiries from international clients on the benefits of the Company, identifying opportunities to develop partnerships
• Promote ion plans accordingly


Networking
• Build relationships with key decision makers within the welding industry, promote the value of the Group of Companies and the diversity of products and services
• Identify informal opportunities to promote products and services, quickly identifying possible product/service
offerings that would support business needs
• Plan , organize and participate in promotional opportunities
• Proactively develop, maintain and build on relationships with key decision makers in international market and domestically
•Is active on committees/associations

Requirements: • Degree or Master's Degree in Business Development & Sales
• Knowledge of Welding certification standards and ISO Quality standards
• Extensive experience in the welding and joining industry
• Demonstrated experience in identifying and acting on new business
• Proven background in building and maintaining solid relationships with key stakeholders within the welding and joining industry
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with people at all levels within the organization
• Experienced in responding to RFPs and developing proposals
• Experienced in setting annual sales metrics and targets
• Experienced in utilizing CRM to run reports to analyse the business and identify
• opportunities for new or expanded revenue growth, ability to develop sales strategies in response to this data
• 5 Years of progressive Sales Experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work with minimal amount of supervision.
• Bilingualism in Bahasa Malaysia and English is required.
• Multilingual is an asset (Mandarin and Cantonese).
• Valid Passport
• Willingness to travel in designated region
• Own Vehicle and a valid drivers license
• Successful candidate must be willing to be based in Gebeng, Kuantan office.
